Hempsted Meadow is a purpose-built car boot and market site in Gloucester, awarded to us by Gloucester City Council on a 15-year lease following a competitive public tender. The site trades every Sunday and Wednesday, all year round.

Please note that all timings are one hour earlier on Wednesdays.

In order to maximise the site’s potential, we have introduced a tiered entry system that allows the site to facilitate greater footfall than ever previously seen. Tiered entry gives buyers a choice of entry prices, reduces congestion, extends the length of the trading day and helps to increase footfall.

There is strictly no buying or selling before 9am on Sundays or 8am on Wednesdays. This is enforced by multiple members of staff. Early set-up sellers receive a full hour to set up in peace, and early-entry buyers are the first to begin buying.
